One of the biggest classical music and dance festival season held every year in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India is back again with more then 1500 concerts spread over a period of 40 days from Dec 2009 to Jan 2010. Click the image on left to view festival schedule from various organisations.

-Music Academy will also hounour veteran guru of Bharata Natyam NS Jayalakshmi (direct disciple of Rukmini Devi Arundale) for her contribution to the world of classical dance.
- Veteran exponent of Odissi, Sonal Mansingh will receive the title 'Viswa Kala Bharati' from Bharat Kalachar.
- Senior Carnatic vocalist TV Sankaranarayanan to receive the title 'Gnana Kala Bharathi'.
